A little about me
This is my seventh year of teaching at Camille and I am very excited to be working on the middleschool side! At Camille, we are lucky to have caring staff, a diverse school setting and a very strong French Immersion program. I can attest to this, being a former student at Camille from kindergarten all the way to grade 9. From there, I graduated at Notre Dame High School with my English and French diploma. After graduation, I attended Red Deer college for my first two years of my degree, where I played Kings Badminton. After Red Deer college, I moved up to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta to complete my degree.
My teaching philosophy is to support students holistically as they develop and mature through important times of their lives. That is to nurture creative abilities to express themselves, understand others, and to organize and navigate through information so that they can solve problems with confidence in an ever changing world. To support a child socio-emotionally, physically, creatively, and cognitively is building the foundation of their well-being, learning and growth as a person. My goal is to support them in all areas of their lives as they progress through the French Immersion Program at Camille J. Lerouge. When I'm not teaching, I'm travelling the world (visited Peru, Colombia & Costa Rica in 2016), playing sports (basketball, volleyball & badminton), camping, reading & spending time with family and friends! |
